Traditionally, ‘Shulawitsi’ is depicted holding a firebrand in each hand and carrying a fawn skin bag over its shoulder.
It is a significant kachina figure in Zuni culture. In Hopi tradition, it appears during the Sio Shalako ceremony, but unlike in Zuni rituals, it does not place prayer feathers.
