The Epa is a ceremonial mask worn by the Yoruba people during the ritual performance that shares its name.

The top of the mask is often adorned with figures symbolising key members of the community, such as priests, farmers, kings, mothers, or warriors. In this instance, the central figure is likely a priest, accompanied by his entourage. The use of vibrant blue pigments adds a distinctive and striking element to the piece, enhancing its visual impact and cultural significance.
