The Igbo pantheon consists of Chukwu, the central deity and creator god, as well as various alusi, which can be seen as aspects of Chukwu. Each alusi has its own specific function and is responsible for a certain domain of existence.

The unique feature of this alusi is its horns, which symbolise strength, power, and protection.
